Dear Friend,
We want to thank the Lord and all our sponsors who have made possible our trip to Haiti with bunches of (water, emergency supplies, milk, medicines, meals, etc) to support for the second time since the earthquake. I was pleased to see continued signs of an expanding relief effort. During the trip, we were so surprised to see face to face how the country has been destroyed; I could not keep tears in my eyes. Nowadays only 5 % of the Haitians are working in a paying job.
Donation by donation, it's the generosity of people like you that is keeping this relief effort going. And your continued dedication is what will make sure the Haitian people have the tools and supplies they need to build the country again. In other ideas, January 28th - February 1st, 2010 was the 4th mission trip of our leader Pastor Richard Hopkins and Kelli Sliwinski with another incredible group of missionaries to work with the children of the Foundation. We were able to participate in many different activities together:
1. Our 5th Graduation ceremony of 18 children who completed different computer programming courses. 2. Visit different Haitian refugees after earthquake including DuCasa to give materials, shoes and many basic needs. 3. Spend a day with children in the park, feed them, share supplies, medicines, play and share the word of God with them. 4. A 5k prayer run/walk 5. Medical/clinic screens During the clinic screens, the nurses on the mission team found different children with fevers and other health concerns that need follow up. We received lots of recommendations from them. This reinforces reasons why we have signed a freelance agreement with two doctors to check the children regularly. One more time, we want to thank all the people who were part of this trip and their helping hands. During 3 hours the nurses assessed 59 children! May God bless you all.
